Obituary for James Bissett

In Loving Memory of James Bissett
March 2, 1955 - February 12, 2014

Jim moved out west from New York right after graduating high school. He fell in love with the slower pace of South Dakota and settled in the Black Hills area.

He met and married Dvonna Geldreich in 1977. The began a family and had 3 children, Danica (Jeremy) Cossman of Madison, WI, Keith (Sarah) Bissett of Sydney, MT, and Alisa (Stephen) Shapotkin of Chicago, IL. Jim was a proud grandpa of three grandsons and one granddaughter.

They moved to Wyoming in 1992, to Montana in 1995, and to Wisconsin in 2009.
Jim worked hard supporting his family as a self-taught skilled mechanic. He fixed everything; lawnmowers, cars, trucks, semi-trucks, and heavy equipment.

Everywhere Jim lived he volunteered much of his time helping others understand the Bible. He volunteered many hours on the Regional Building Committee of Jehovah's Witnesses helping build or remodel Kingdom Halls. And he was a great source of encouragement to those who were discouraged, ill or in the hospital.

Jim enjoyed fishing, golfing, hockey, football and watching "The Voice" and "X-Factor" on television. But he did NOT like musicals.

He passed away at home early in the morning on Wednesday, February 12, 2014.

On February 22, 2014 there will be a visitation at 2pm and then a memorial at 3pm at
The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's WItnesses
E10966 Hatchery Rd.
Baraboo, WI 53913
And a reception is to follow. Details will be after the memorial.
