Garret William Deak

Garret William Deak has ventured off onto the next journey on Sunday, March 3, 2024. His love for life, love, peace, happiness, joy, kindness, creativity, connections, friendship and good times, was lived out for just short of 55 years. Garret was born April 27, 1969 in Waukesha, Wisconsin.

Garret William Deak was preceded in death by his sister Julie Ann, and niece Tangy Marie.

He is survived by his parents Bill and Cher (Patrikus) Deak, his two daughters Julia Katlynn and Morgan Cheryl,  granddaughter Eliza Jane, his aunt Linda, his girlfriend of 20 years Char, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. He also left behind a multitude of friends.

He was employed as a machinist doing tool and dye work in the Marine Machine Shop Department.

Garret brought good energy to the scene every time. He was the light and the life of every room he entered. Garret created endless art, from music to drawings, paintings and doodles, poems, songs, jokes, ideas and so much more.

Garret could articulate his views and convey their energy to the world in a way that made you pay attention. Garret was fascinating to interact with, a pleasure to be around and made you feel seen, loved and accepted. Garret didn’t judge you but only by your character. Otherwise, you were all good in his book. 

You can find light, laughter, joy, peace and love, anywhere, anytime and Garret radiated that reality. With a soul as rare and radical as Garret’s came a fast life lived hard with ups and downs. He gets to be at peace now, truly at peace. His love for all things good lives on eternally through his art, his daughters, his granddaughter, his parents, his friends and his family. Remember Garret and help keep his beauty alive by continuing to push for love, kindness, laughter, a good time and peace. Take good care everyone. Peace, laughter and love to you all. 

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2024, from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Lakeside Park, 555 North Park Avenue in Fond du Lac, WI 54935. It would have been Garret's 55th birthday.
